Point-to-Point –Your Low-Cost Mircowave Link
Teletronics'
Point-to-Point system with 20Mbps throughput at 5.8GHz over a distance of 20
miles LOS is unmatchable,
not to mention our price is at least 1/3 lower than that of a comparable
microwave system.
Teletronics
Point to Point System
Because
of the difference in power limitations, data rate requirements, applications,
environmental conditions and performance objectives, not all of Teletronics'
point-to-point systems are identical.

There
are 4 sets of RF radio transmission systems available to you for your
applications:
All
four systems can be housed with the antenna in a flat-plate panel as well.
For each customer, pre-installation
design and on-site surveys need to be made in advance either you yourself or by
Teletronics per the customer's request. A suggested equipment list and setup
configurations are submitted for approval to you prior to Teletronics
undertaking any work. Generally, first few links of Teletronics' point-to-point
systems are installed by our professional staff. From a hardware installation
viewpoint, Teletronics essentially provides transceiver equipment and antennas
positioned on customer-arranged towers or poles to assure clear line of sight
paths. The two antennas of the point-to-point system are aimed at each other to
optimize the wireless connection between the links.
If you have distance
over 30 Km, the EZBackhaul system would be your prime consideration. It is
designed for high throughput and range, specifically:
- Long
Range
– 100 Km with 8MB, 45 Km with 30 MB. TDMA
- Medium
Range
– Below 20 Km, Dual WiFi (802.11) Channels by CSMA. 20MB each.
- Aggregation of IP
signals, voice, data and video IP signals.
As an illustration,
we present the 100 km link with 6 MB data throughput results established in Mexico
by our customer there over an 102 Km path (from Cerro Chona to Cieniega ) using
Teletronics’ 32 dBi antenna (part No. 15-219). A record is shown below.

f you have
transmission distance within 5-30 Km, the EZPlatform or TT can be used.
EZPlatform accommodates two radio cards which provide you directional routing
or repeater versatility while TT is a reliable workhorse embedded in panels for
easy configuration and installation.

All TT™ Series
products are designed for outdoor, all-weather deployment and offer a robust
yet stylish weather-proof case that will stand up to the harshest environments.
TT™ Series products all have integrated transparent VLAN, QoS, bandwidth
control, WPA, WPA2, 64/128 bit WEP data security, MAC filtering and Web and
SNMP features. New NAT functionality will be incorporated into the products.
TT™ Series products cover 802.11a, b, and g at frequencies of 5.8GHz and
2.4GHz. Teletronics' TT™5800 bridge/router, or the TT™X. FCC is approved at
sufficient power for 5.8GHz long-distance applications, the TT™5800 can be
configured either as a base-station or as a client station. "We were able
to put the TT™5800 through various tests during the last three weeks and the
results were quite unbelievable despite my vast experience in this field over
time" remarked Mr. Yomi of InterFinish, an ISP customer of Teletronics’,
"We were able to get 19.5
miles point-to-point with the 28dBi flat panel antenna and 15 miles on the
22dBi antenna. Both links are steady at 24Mbps throughput and a latency of 1ms
between the two radios, even when fully loaded with data."
Recognizing the merit of the TT™5800, AETC of China invited Teletronics to
enter a bidding to become the supplier of a broadband wireless network for 60
schools in late 2005. Teletronics won the bid, completing the project in June,
2006. Essentially, the project was for the installation of wireless broadband
systems at 5.8GHz to serve approximately 50,000 students in 60 schools across
County, a municipality covering an area of 100 square kilometers near Nanjing, China.
The EZMIMO® uses the latest 802.11n WiFi technology which pushes the
wireless throughput to a new horizon. While all 802.11n products make 300 Mbps
claim but few can substantiate a 60 Mbps in real throughput testing, EZMIMO®
can verifiably produce 90 Mbps data throughput in a typical outdoor line of
sight environment of over 1.5 mile range. As a high-end product, the basic
configuration of EZMIMO® features a high power 26dBm 802.11n radio card with
Atheros AR7130 chipset and integrated with a 5.8GHz 18dBi dual polarized
antenna. The fundamental wireless functions include Access Point, CPE Client
and WDS Bridge. As its name implies, the EZMIMO®
is simple and easy to use. The system is designed to meet any bandwidth
demanding applications for data, voice, video, and surveillance, all
plug-and-play.
Finally, all
Teletronics point-to-point systems are for out-door long term use. They are designed
to endure severe weather, from extreme heat to freezing cold. Teletronics
system have been deployed in La Paz, Bolivia, the geographically highest
capital (over 6000m) in the world, in Mongolia, the wind-blowing sandiest
desert in the world, and in New Orleans, USA surviving through the hurricane
Katrina.
