ICE-AP, for Extremely Cold Regions

March 16, 2010

Teletronics international, Inc. (Teletronics) proudly announced its latest technology breakthrough today. The new product series – the ICE AP, which involves the state-of-the-art temperature control system, prevails against all other wireless broadband systems in the extremely cold environment up to -50°C.

"We share the frustration with our broadband wireless users in winter times when an outdoor AP, either a router or bridge, suddenly has performance drops or even failures in extreme weather", said Dr. Dickson Fang, the President/CEO of Teletronics, "While everything is permitted to be frozen-in, not the AP, since any interruption of communications would be chaotic, including accidents and other detrimental socio-economical damages."

With the minimum power consumption, the implemented temperature control system utilizes a low-power and durable heating element to maintain the internal temperature so that overall performance will not be degraded when the external temperature drops significantly.

The ICE AP series now are available in all of Teletronics' broadband systems, including ICE -TT, ICE - EZP, and ICE -EZMIMO, all of which can be configured as a base station, a client station, or a gateway in prolonged severe weather. Besides network Intranet for SMB, the ICE AP can be used for applications such as highway surveillance, remote-village Intranet, and point-to-point voice/data/video deliveries beyond internet. You may simply ask our sales person for the ICE-AP option where you purchase any regular wireless products.

Individual purchase of the additional Ice AP temperature control system is also available. Moreover, Teletronics offer engineering support for fitting the system into other APs or devices.
